The Art of
BREAD AND DOUGH
This CERTIFICATE course is one of two baking workshops offered at Affirm College. In this course, students practice mixing ingredients, kneading and forming, then baking several types of bread.

About the Workshop
Students gain hands-on fundamental experience in yeast fermentation, mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking techniques, so they can develop the confidence to recreate these recipes at home. Students enjoy the training inside our commercial kitchen under the instruction of a professional master chef. Whether you are a newcomer to baking, or a seasoned enthusiast, join us for this fun workshop, and consider the sister course in baking, called The Art of Pastries and Pies.
Practical Outcome
Students focus on different types of bread each class, learning the recipes, skills, and techniques to mix and knead dough, and then bake breads from scratch.
CHEF APRON INCLUDED!
Students can EAT what they bake.
Tools and Attire
Students must wear non-slip, preferably steel toed shoes, black pants, and a white t-shirt.

- Fully On Campus
This course is offered only as instructor led, inside our commercial kitchen, to give you hands-on training under the supervision of our master chef.

Each class is FIVE hours in length, to allow for required baking times.
